Inside Fintech Conference and Expo is one of the most influential fintech events in the APAC region. It will be returning to Seoul, South Korea later in the year from November 30 to December 1. This will be the fourth edition of the event which originated from Inside Bitcoin. This years’ event is expected to bring together more than 2000 attendees of whom over 200 are expected to be CEOs. Over 600 companies from more than 30 countries will be represented. All the participating companies are at the crossroads of financial services technology including payments, blockchain, bitcoin, regtech, insurtech, and ecommerce.
South Korea has continued to bolster its position as a leading finance and innovation hub in Asia. It comes third globally in terms of cryptocurrency innovation and enjoys a growing trade volume in the sector. This year alone, two internet banks, Kakao Bank and K-bank, have been launched in the country and a third one is set to be launched by the end of the year. Additionally, Samsung SDS has launched NextledgerTM, a blockchain platform for finance, manufacturing, and logistics.
Inside Fintech Conference and Expo is an opportunity for leaders in the blockchain and fintech sectors to interact and learn from each other and forge useful partnerships. Speakers were thought leaders in the fintech sector and included Hanna Financial Group’s Chief Future Innovations’ Officer, Jun-Seong Han, Tim Swanson, the Director of Market Research at R3 CEV and Hyo-Jeong Kim who heads the Mobile Business Division at Shinhan Card.
This year’s conference, whose theme is “Empowering Blockchain and Fintech Innovation” focuses on how leaders across the globe are dealing with today’s economic environment. Over 40 influential speakers drawn from across the world are expected to share insights through active participation in discussions revolving around a wide range of topics in disruptive technologies including blockchain, payments, artificial intelligence, big data, lending, security, insurtech, regtech and ecommerce.
