A business–friendly website and a customer-friendly website – is this the same thing or not always?

The most important thing is, of course, convenience for the client. The logic here is simple – a site that is convenient and interesting for the consumer will attract attention, you want to scroll on it, open new pages, use all the functions, and if it is a selling site – of course, make purchases. And come back again and again.

What is the most important thing to become a successful programmer?

To become a successful programmer, you need, as in many areas, perseverance. I’ve said it before, but I’m not afraid to repeat it. It is important! If you look at people who have reached certain heights, you can note the analytical mindset, the ability to logically break down and decompose a task, to isolate the most important thing. These should be logical people who can understand this or that problem very well and far-sighted. If you have talent and a predisposition to analytical thinking, then you will do the job much faster. If there is no talent, then only patience and work.

You are the owner of the successful website-creating company. I know that many clients, starting with the old ones and ending with the latest, are absolutely satisfied with the cooperation and leave excellent reviews. Tell us about it in more detail.

Yes, I’m the owner and General Manager of Web Studio DM LLC USA. My responsibilities include coordinating the activities of the studio to achieve its goals and ensure its successful functioning. My colleagues work also as managers, are engaged in quality control of tasks at all stages of projects, checking the compliance of completed works with the requirements of the clients.

Over the years the company’s revenues and the number of customers have grown. The company has achieved such results thanks to my unique business strategy, which consists in a personal approach to each project: I personally lead all stages of the website creation process, interacting with the client at every step. This strategy allows for the most accurate understanding of the client’s needs and expectations, which directly affects the success of the project and customer satisfaction. How it works: From the moment of the first contact to the final completion of the project, I maintain direct communication with the client, without intermediaries, which allows: 1) React quickly to changes and adjustments – the client sees that his ideas and edits are taken into account immediately, which strengthens trust, 2) To better understand the specifics of the client’s business and make more accurate and valuable suggestions to the project, 3) To maintain high quality at all stages – I control the entire development process, which minimizes the risks of misunderstandings and errors. Such approach has led to a significant increase in the number of clients and an increase in the company’s profits, as many customers, satisfied with the individual approach, return to us for new projects or recommend us to their partners. Thanks to this strategy the customer base grew by 40% within a year by attracting regular and referral customers. The average cost of the project has increased by 20%, as satisfied customers are more likely to order additional services or choose more expensive packages. Thanks to my full involvement in the creation of each site, the company receives not only profit growth, but also a reputation as a reliable partner ready to maintain close cooperation at all stages of work.

Which sites are easier to create – commercial, where goods or services are sold, or informational ones?

When we talk about a selling site, the task of such a web resource is to receive material benefit from the client. For example, if it is an online store, the site helps the client to perform a specific action – click the “buy” button. Before creating such a site, the marketer does a lot of work to identify potential buyers and their needs. The specialist studies the interests and capabilities of his audience, develops ways to convey information, then analyzes the research results and writes a technical task for the programmer. If the company is already known, its commercial goal is most often associated with increasing brand awareness.

Web portals of educational and cultural institutions, non-profit organizations – work as an information resource, telling people about the services provided, events held and projects implemented. There is also news there. Such sites help to disseminate knowledge and cultural heritage. They also contribute to increasing the degree of openness of the institutions to society, improving the interaction between different participants.

Of course, it is easier to create sites that sell something. It is easier to formulate the task there, you can explain more clearly what the site owner wants from the developer. When it comes to information and analytical sites, it is more difficult to develop criteria for their success. If a museum site has few visitors, what does this mean first of all – that the site is bad or the museum itself is uninteresting? The answers to this question may vary.

Could You tell us a bit more about Your experience working on the jury of the Cases&Faces competition?

Yea, it was a very interesting and inspiring story. According to my professional experience, I was invited to judge contenders in categories close to my professional interests. There were three of them – “Mobile Site and App of the Year,” “Technology Executive,” and “Digital Executive of the Year.” All contenders were highly professional, it was not an easy task to choose most deserving ones. But my colleagues and I were able to do it.

What advice can you give to novice website creators?

First, try not to skimp. Including on hiring qualified specialists – web designers, programmers, layout designers, optimizers, managers, SEO specialists and copywriters. Each of them is an important link in creating a website. Much depends on the complexity of the project, its structure and design, but in any case, a professional team is needed to create a successful product. Well, after the website is created, its regular updates and high-quality content are needed for a successful online business and for the website to occupy leading positions in search engines.
