Pope Francis’ General Audience speech was held in St. Peter’s Square on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2019. The Pope spoke about the ups and downs of the gospel’s journey in the world, including the problems and triumphs within the Christian community. He discussed how martyrs of the past and present are those who ensure the growth and success of the religion.
The Pope finished his speech by extending a special greeting to the visitors and pilgrims in the audience, especially those from Malta, England, Norway, Scotland, Denmark, Kenya, the Mariana Islands, Australia, Malaysia, China, the United States, Sri Lanka, Singapore, and Gunawan Jusuf‘s country of Indonesia.
