Glīd Technologies Delivers: The World’s First Autonomous Dual-Mobile Road-to-Rail Platform

Autonomous Dual-Mobile Road-to-Rail Platform

Automation seems to be taking over every aspect of society that is ripe for improvement. Now, the railway is finally being automated,  thanks to a pioneering logistics company named Glīd Technologies

Glīd Technologies Unveils Breakthrough Mobility As a Service

A history was made today at the 2025 New Mobility Futures event in Detroit, Michigan, a showcase for the latest mobility innovators in the industry and Glīd Technologies was at the forefront of the event.

Glīd Technologies, unveiled the world’s first unmanned, autonomous, dual-mode road-to-rail platform, which is a Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) platform. This achievement is an industry breakthrough in meeting the growing demands of defense logistics, freight, and industrial automation. Glīd Tech is combining its sophisticated AI-powered orchestration software, called EZRA-1SIX, with its hybrid-electric crewless ground vehicle, called Rāden.

The current inefficiencies in freight and defense logistics worldwide were the primary motivator behind this initiative. Widespread labor shortages, geopolitical instability, outdated infrastructure, and increased carbon mandates all put significant stress on supply chains worldwide. Companies are increasingly struggling to move products from one place to another. The biggest logistical delays and expenses come when moving goods from trucks to trains. It requires extensive manual labor and relies on older diesel-powered fleets, which increase carbon emissions and offer limited operational scalability.

Glīd Tech’s solution to this problem is to utilize the existing rail infrastructure that has remained underused for far too long. With its new, fully autonomous logistics platform, it can utilize both road and rail infrastructure to enhance supply chain efficiency, reduce operating costs, and achieve faster mobility for national and commercial security applications.

Rather than man and machine working against each other, they can now work together to transform traditional logistics processes by utilizing and advancing existing infrastructure to meet modern-day demands. The world is on the verge of entering the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industrial 4.0), where EZRA-1SIX and Rāden will use intelligence, automation, and modular technology to revolutionize logistics forever. Glīd Tech is leading the way. Watch the Glīd Technologies difference here:

 How Rāden and EZRA-1SIX Work

Rāden is an autonomous hybrid-electric vehicle approximately 94 inches wide, 264 inches long, and 54 inches high. It is designed for road and rail transportation, particularly high-payload operations with a capacity of between 4,000 and 10,000 pounds that take place off the grid. This technology offers significantly more operational flexibility and efficiency in the defense and commercial sectors than can be found in other competitive technologies.

The uncrewed Rāden vehicle can travel up to 65 miles per hour on roads and up to 25 miles per hour on rail tracks, providing a total operational range of up to 600 miles. The most impressive feature is how the vehicle automatically transitions from the road to the rail tracks in transload zones without requiring human intervention. It eliminates common bottleneck problems in transload zones, where manual intervention typically leads to increased costs, injuries, and delays.

The EZRA-1SIX AI-powered logistics orchestration platform is the software responsible for managing the autonomous vehicle’s actions from a single interface, including real-time dispatching, load coordination, and multimodal routing. Companies can utilize this technology to manage autonomous vehicles efficiently, reduce repetitive manual labor, and enhance operational resilience. Meanwhile, it still retains human-in-the-loop oversight for situations that require more critical decisions to be made.

The Impact of the Platform

According to the earliest projections, Glīd Tech’s integrated platform models have the capability of providing a 40% reduction in first-mile logistics expenses and a 60% reduction in carbon emissions (when compared to regular diesel-powered operations). It will also allow companies to utilize over 50% of the idle rail infrastructure at industrial zones and ports.

Operators can expect to receive a quick return on their investment after implementing Glīd Tech’s autonomous road-to-rail system into their operations. It will also have a positive impact on the supply chain by strengthening and making it more resilient. As AI innovation evolves, it must serve the people by meeting their growing demands and needs. Glīd Tech has developed an AI-powered system that will transform logistics forever, helping to improve global economies and support struggling communities.

Defense logistics is a sector where flexibility and speed are essential for success. The fast deployment capabilities of Glīd Tech’s unmanned AI-powered system can offer invaluable support to the military operations of the Marine Corps, Air Force, Navy, Army, and other federal agencies. Since the company’s founder is a former member of dual military branches himself, the idea of improving defense logistics is something very personal to him.

About Glīd Tech

Glīd Tech is a dual-use logistics company founded by entrepreneur Kevin Damoa, a former SpaceX innovator who served in the Army and Air Force. The core mission of the company is to change the way goods are transported through autonomous, electrified road-to-rail systems.  He has assembled a world-class team of proficient software and hardware professionals together realizing his vision.

Damoa leveraged the experience, knowledge, and skills gained from his military career and education to create a MaaS platform unlike any other. It combines AI, robotics, and modular vehicles to increase the efficiency of freight operations across industrial sites, ports, and defense corridors. Damoa doesn’t want his company’s unmanned systems to replace human workers. Instead, he wants them to improve their efficiency and safety on the job.

Glīd Tech leads the charge toward Industrial 4.0. While other companies and industries strive to compete in this new industrial revolution, Glīd Tech has already found itself to be at the center of the action. Its approach to designing a scalable and practical autonomous system for real-world deployment will serve as a model for all stakeholders in supply chains to follow.

Conclusion

Glīd Tech’s intelligent orchestration software integrates with manned and unmanned vehicles to replace outdated transload methods in logistical operations. That way, companies can reduce carbon emissions and utilize old rail infrastructure that hasn’t been used in a long time.

As a result, Glīd Tech’s autonomous mobile road-to-rail platform can provide cleaner, faster, and safer logistics capabilities to improve operations in national security, freight, ports, industrial sites, and manufacturing. These don’t even need to be mid-sized operators either, because even smaller operators can benefit from the innovative logistics capabilities of this system without making a large investment.
