The Next Project
Changpeng Zhao, the former CEO of Binance, tweeted on Monday about his plans for the next project. The aim of the project is to make education free and accessible to everyone around the world through an academy called Giggle Academy. He said that he doesn’t have a logo yet.
According to CZ, the training is free for all from basic grades 1–12; it is gamified, adaptive, and requires no revenue. They are also looking for teachers who can create digital content and also other workers.
He explained that building this free platform where anyone around the world can have access to learn is the most impressive thing he is going to do throughout the next chapter of his life.
“Building a high-quality and sticky education platform that is entirely free and accessible to all is the most impactful thing I could do for the next chapter of my life,” said CZ.
Giggle Academy
Giggle Academy is an online free learning platform for children founded by CZ. The mission of creating the platform is to make learning fun, addictive, and free for all. The platform has games where students play engaging games. These games are modeled toward different subjects to make learning fun and efficient. This program is also online and accessible to anyone in the world who has an internet connection, and it is free.
About CZ
Changpeng Zhao is the former CEO of Binance; he stepped down in November last year and was replaced by Richard Teng. CZ said that he will first take a break to rest, and when he starts, he will be content being a mentor or coach and also investing.
“I will take a break first. I have not had a single day of real (phone off) break for the last 6 and a half years. After that, my current thinking is I will probably do some passive investing, being a minority token/shareholder in startups in areas of blockchain/Web3/DeFi, AI and biotech. I am happy that I will finally have more time to spend looking at DeFi.” he said.
He added, “I can’t see myself being a CEO driving a startup again. I am content being an one-shot (lucky) entrepreneur. Should there be listeners, I may be open to being a coach/mentor to a small number of upcoming entrepreneurs, privately. If for nothing else, I can at least tell them what not to do.”
