Finchb Puts a Full Solana Wallet Inside Telegram

One Finchb account runs in the browser, as an app on phones and computers, and as a Telegram Mini App, and it starts with a single tap, without an email address.

Finchb, a wallet for the Solana blockchain, now runs in three places on a single account: in the browser at www.finchb.com, as an app that installs on phones and computers, and inside the messaging app Telegram, where the complete wallet opens as a Mini App right next to the chat. A new wallet is ready after a single tap, without an email address and without a sign-up form.

The Telegram side starts with the Finchb bot. Its menu button opens the wallet, and the buttons in the chat lead straight to the screen that is needed, whether that is receiving, sending, the transaction history or the settings. A Mini App is a small web app that Telegram shows in its own window, so the wallet opens without a separate download and without leaving the conversation.

The same wallet, not a reduced copy

Finchb in Telegram is the same wallet that runs on the website. It covers sending and receiving SOL and Solana tokens, the swap, the transaction history, the address book and the security settings. A wallet created in Telegram opens on the website with its 12-word recovery phrase, and an account that started on the web can be linked to Telegram with its recovery words or with email and password.

Getting started

A new user opens the bot and taps “Create wallet”. Finchb then shows a standard 12-word recovery phrase, a list of words that works as the backup of the wallet and as the way to sign in on another device. The words appear once, and the user confirms with a check box that they have been written down before the wallet opens. An email address, a password and two-factor authentication with an authenticator app can be added later.

Payments start in the chat, the user confirms

Payments can begin right in the conversation, for example by pasting a Solana address into the chat. The bot prepares the transfer, and the user confirms it with a single tap on a screen inside Telegram; nothing moves before that confirmation. Sending costs only the fees of the Solana network itself, and Finchb adds no fee of its own.

Several details are built around the chat. When someone pastes recovery words or a private key into the conversation, the bot deletes the message and warns the user. Security alerts, for example after a password change or a sign-in from a new browser, arrive in the chat, and the bot sends a message when SOL or USDC reach the wallet.

“A lot of Solana conversations already happen in Telegram, so that is where the wallet should be. Opening Finchb there takes one tap, and it is the same wallet a user has in the browser and on the phone,” said the Finchb team.

Finchb’s support team is available around the clock and answers messages sent from inside the wallet and from the bot. The Finchb community on Telegram is open to everyone for questions and for exchange with other users. The wallet is available in English and German and is free to start.
