Copy Trading App or Telegram Bot? Fomo, Binance and Banana Gun Compared for Meme Coins
Binance’s copy trading mirrors lead traders’ portfolios on Binance’s spot market, and lead traders take 10% of their copiers’ profits. The Fomo app lets you follow traders and tap buy yourself. Banana Gun, a Telegram trading bot, copies a public Solana wallet automatically with your size and exit. For small meme coins, only the last two reach the token at all.
A copy trading app search lands on three products with one label: an exchange feature, a social feed with alerts, and a bot that acts on a wallet address. Banana Gun’s blog covers Telegram bots vs DEX interfaces.
How does each one copy a trader?
On Binance you pick a lead trader and the platform copies their trades into your account. Binance’s page (read 21 Oct 2026) puts it as copying their trades “with one click”.
On Fomo you follow a trader and get a push notification when they buy or sell. Then you decide whether to buy.
On Banana Gun, a Telegram trading bot, you add a wallet address under “Copy Trading”, and the bot buys when that wallet buys, within your limits.
Binance spot copy trading: how it works and what it costs
Binance sorts its lead trader portfolios by High PNL, High ROI, High Copiers’ PNL and Most Copied (Binance, read 21 Oct 2026). A Lead Trader must deposit over 500 USDT and complete KYC, so every lead trader is verified and has deposited.
The price is a profit share. Binance’s page says Lead Traders earn 10% from both their Copy Traders’ profits and their trading fee commissions, and its Elite Trader Program offers up to 30% profit share.
The limit that matters for meme coins is reach. Spot Copy Trading trades on Binance’s own spot market, so you can only copy into tokens Binance has listed.
Fomo: follow a trader, then tap buy yourself
Fomo, a self-custodial social trading app, is good at discovery. Its homepage (read 21 Oct 2026) advertises a leaderboard and “join 2,500,000 traders”. Fomo’s blog (25 Dec 2025) adds one-tap buys with Apple Pay and sponsored gas.
Exits are left to you. Fomo’s copy trading guide (1 Feb 2026) and risk guide (25 Dec 2025) describe exits as notifications plus levels you hold in your head. Neither describes a take profit or stop loss order attached to a copied position.
Every trader’s followers, trade count and PnL are public on Fomo, but the app does not show the wallet address, per Fomo Wallet Finder’s own description.
Banana Gun: copy a wallet without watching it
In Banana Gun, open “Copy Trading” from the start menu or type /copytrade, tap “New Copy Trade”, paste the target wallet, add a description such as “Fomo frank”, pick your wallets and flip “Inactive” to “Active”.
Sizing is yours. “Buy Fixed” buys the same amount every time, “Max Buy” caps each copied buy, and “Spending Limit” caps the total per wallet.
“Max Market Cap” skips tokens above your ceiling. “Buy Only Once” blocks a token for 7 days after your first buy.
Exits are separate from the copied wallet. With “Copy Sells” on, you sell when the target sells. You can also place your own limit orders from the copy trade menu with “Setup Limit Order”.
Fomo Wallet Finder, a third-party tool, links the two worlds. Paste a fomo.family profile link or @handle and it returns the verified Solana and EVM addresses, free, with 2 new lookups a day (checked 21 Oct 2026). For frank (@frankdegods), the Solana address is 498g1rVnFcnjBjpfw1xyqA1WvgQXUU8RWuELjxkjAayQ.
Banana Gun’s docs document copy trading on Solana, and its blog (10 Aug 2026) covers Robinhood Chain.
Which copy trading app or Telegram trading bot fits meme coins?
Look at the size of the tokens. On GMGN’s 24h volume ranking (20 Oct 2026), the collectooor (COLLECTOOOR) sat at a $161K market cap with $5.57M of volume and 3,214 holders. It launched on Pump.fun.
Binance can only copy what Binance lists, so a token at that size is out of its reach.
Fomo and Banana Gun both reach on-chain tokens, so the question is who controls size and exit. On Fomo you do it by hand, alert by alert. On Banana Gun you set it once and the bot repeats it.
If you want to sit at the screen and choose, Fomo fits. If you want rules that run unattended, a Telegram trading bot fits, and you accept that the rules can be wrong.
What can no copy trading app fix?
Start with the wallets. GMGN on 20 Oct 2026 shows Salem at -$60,680 realized over 30 days, on 11 buys and 31 sells.
AJC shows -49.5% on $12.2K bought. Fomo Wallet Finder lists the two at $6.2M and $4.4M all-time PnL (30 Sep 2026).
point farm capital is the extreme case: $10M all-time PnL on Fomo, then -$1,163,571 realized over 30 days on GMGN across 12,490 buys, against -$303,240 on 8 Oct.
Windows move too. GMGN showed frank’s 30-day realized profit at +$863,301 on 8 Oct 2026 and +$447,431 on 20 Oct, with the last 7 days at -$1,339.
Every copy lands after the copied wallet’s trade, so on a fast move your price is worse. The more people copy one wallet, the further behind you land.
Banana Gun’s docs warn that some target wallets buy pump-and-dumps or honeypots and use copy traders as exit liquidity, so review recent trades before you switch a copy on.
