Union Budget 2023: The central government will spend Rs 10,000 crore per year on the Urban Infrastructure Development Fund.

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) is a government initiative Launched in 2015 to provide affordable housing to low and middle income individuals and families in India. Once on the website, you need to click on the link “Apply Online”, which will take you to the registration page.

Here, you will need to provide your personal and contact information, such as your name, address, phone number, and email.

You will need to provide information about your household, including the number of members, their age and relationship to you, as well as your current residential status.

Apart from the above information, you need to upload the scanned copy of some documents like your Aadhaar Card, PAN Card and Income Proof.

Before submitting the application it is important to ensure that all the documents are clear, legible and all the information given in the application form is correct.

Once your application is submitted, you will receive an application number which can be used to track the status of your application.

Pradhan Mantri Yojana Objectives

PM Awas Yojana provides financial assistance for construction or enhancement of house to eligible beneficiaries, and also includes components for development of infrastructure and basic amenities in the surrounding areas. The scheme aims to achieve the objective of “Housing for All” by the year 2025.

PMAY-Gramin scheme is open to individuals and families who belong to the lower and middle classes

Income group and do not have a pucca house in their name.

The annual income of the family should be less than 3 lakhs.

Documents required:- Aadhaar card of the beneficiary and all the adult members of the beneficiary’s family

Passport size photographs of the beneficiary and all adult members of the beneficiary’s family

Proof of ownership of the land on which the house is to be constructed (if applicable)
