Bullbit, a decentralized perpetual trading platform, has opened the BullChain Testnet to the public following a five month private testing phase that reached up to 10,000 TPS and validated the network’s high performance trading infrastructure.

Bullbit announced the public launch of the BullChain Testnet on September 3rd 2026, making its Layer 1 accessible to users worldwide following an initial private testing phase for whitelisted users and selected KOLs.

The public testnet marks the next stage in BullChain’s development, giving a broader community the opportunity to experience its core proposition firsthand: a passkey native Layer 1 designed specifically for high speed onchain trading.

BullChain Testnet Goes Public

BullChain first introduced its testnet in March 2026 through “The Stress Test Arena,” an invitation-only program that brought together whitelisted users and selected KOLs to test the network in a controlled environment.

Over the following five months, Bullbit used the program to gather user feedback, identify issues, and stress test BullChain under increasing network activity. The insights from this phase have helped shape the public testnet, which now opens the network to a much broader range of users and real world usage scenarios.

Users worldwide can now connect to BullChain and claim testnet tokens directly through the faucet, with no invitation code required. Following this public testing phase, BullChain is expected to officially launch its Mainnet in Q4 this year.

A Passkey-Native Layer 1 Built for High-Speed Trading

BullChain is positioned as the first passkey-native Layer 1, built specifically for on-chain trading. Rather than treating passkeys as an additional application-level feature, BullChain integrates passkey support directly into the core layer of its blockchain architecture, allowing the network to natively support both EVM-compatible and passkey-based signatures.

As a result, users can authenticate transactions using familiar biometric methods on their devices, such as Face ID or Touch ID. What sets BullChain apart is that rather than relying on application-layer Smart Contract Account Abstraction (AA), which often incurs high gas overhead and exposes users to smart contract vulnerabilities, integrating passkeys natively at the protocol level optimizes verification performance without unneeded compilation steps.

This native architecture secures passkey verification through Layer 1 consensus rather than the code quality of individual smart contracts, driving gas fees for smart wallet mechanisms down to near zero. Furthermore, it lays a scalable foundation for future smart account features, ensuring a direct, frictionless execution flow from the moment a trading decision is made.

That focus on faster trading experience extends beyond transaction signing. BullChain’s underlying infrastructure is designed to keep pace with the demands of active on-chain trading, and its private testnet reached up to 10,000 transactions per second (TPS) during stress testing, demonstrating its ability to process high transaction volumes while maintaining a responsive environment.

More importantly, throughput is paired with low-latency execution, about 100-200ms. Early testers reported a highly responsive experience, with transactions designed to move from user action to execution with minimal delay. This can be particularly relevant for speed-sensitive strategies such as scalping, where traders may need to respond quickly to short-lived market movements.

Taken together, these capabilities reflect BullChain’s core approach to on-chain trading: a seamless signing experience should work alongside high-performance infrastructure, rather than come at its expense.

Strengthening BullChain Testnet Through Community Testing

The public testing phase also introduces a Bug Bounty Program hosted on First Dollar and HackenProof, with a $1,000 prize pool for users who identify and report bugs or security issues across the network.

Opening the network to a wider community allows BullChain to be tested across a broader range of devices, behaviors, and usage conditions. Community reports will help the team identify edge cases and potential issues that may not surface during controlled testing.

Beyond security, the public testnet also creates a direct feedback loop between Bullbit and its users. Their experiences will help the team continue refining both the underlying network and the overall trading experience as BullChain moves toward its next stage of development.
