NEWS OCT (82)

Anyone searching for the Binance hack or the next binance new listing this week found the same story. On October 29, an attack hit about $6.3 billion in assets, the largest crypto theft on record by TRM Labs’ count.

Yet Binance says about $3 billion is already frozen, and it will cover losses from its SAFU fund and company funds. It did the same after a 2019 hack and kept growing.

The lesson is simple: coins are only as safe as whoever holds them. That puts the spotlight on Pepeto, a presale whose live exchange never holds user funds.

How Did the Binance Hack Put a Binance New Listing on Hold?

The breach started with a person’s computer, not with broken code. Binance’s first update pointed to a compromised DevOps engineer’s laptop, with no sign of a private key leak. Most of the money left within about 20 minutes.

TRM Labs ties the attack to North Korea’s TraderTraitor group, the same group the FBI linked to the $1.5 billion Bybit theft in February 2025. This one is about four times bigger. Binance then postponed the PREDICT listing set for 6 p.m. Singapore time on October 30, with a new time to come later.

Where Can Traders Look for Gains While Binance Puts Its New Listings on Hold?

Pepeto Was Built Around the Lesson This Hack Just Taught

This hack did not break crypto. It broke trust in leaving coins with someone else. That is the gap Pepeto was built to close, and its presale is drawing buyers who just watched the risk play out.

Here is the problem exchange users felt this week. On a big exchange, the coins sit in its wallets, and one breached laptop can pause every withdrawal. PepetoSwap, the exchange Pepeto runs, is live and non custodial. No operator holds funds, and nobody has to approve a withdrawal.

Trades run straight from the holder’s own wallet, such as MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Rabby, or Phantom. A private relay, on by default, keeps bots from jumping ahead of an order. Market, limit, and DCA orders all work, and the swap fee is 0%. So holders keep control of their coins and keep more of every trade.

The same idea runs through the rest of the project. SolidProof audited the code. The security scanner also blocks trades on risky coins before any money moves.

Tokens sell for $0.0000001904 right now, and more than $11.2 million has come in. Each stage closes when its countdown ends or its tokens are gone, and the next one costs more. Holders who stake earn 160% APY while they wait, and those rewards unlock at listing.

A $2,000 buy at this price gets about 10.5 billion tokens. At ten times today’s price, that stake would be worth $20,000. For buyers who learned this week’s lesson, Pepeto is the presale that fits it. This stage price is the lowest anyone holding later will have paid, and it lasts only until this stage closes.

BNB Lost No Coins but Still Took the Hit

Not a single BNB was stolen, yet BNB fell anyway. It dropped from $738.90 to $699 in about 35 minutes on October 29 as the news spread. BNB now trades at $699.29, down 6.17% in a day, per CoinMarketCap.

Getting back to its pre hack price takes about 5%, and its record near $1,370 sits about 94% higher. That road runs on trust, and trust returns slowly.

Could Uniswap Win as Traders Move Off Big Exchanges?

UNI trades at $6.97, up 2.44% in a day, per CoinMarketCap. Standard Chartered’s Geoffrey Kendrick would urge investors back to Uniswap once frozen assets are freed and more details come out.

He kept his $100 target for 2030, nearly 14 times today’s price. That is a big target, but it sits four years out, and Uniswap still takes a 0.30% fee on swaps.

Conclusion

The Binance hack froze a listing, shook BNB, and reminded everyone who really holds their coins. Every binance new listing will come back, but this week showed that safety now matters as much as timing. The people who got rich on BNB made one early choice. They bought in 2017, when it sold for about $0.15, long before it passed $1,000.

Pepeto has that kind of early price today, with an exchange that never holds user funds. The Pepeto official website offers the price later buyers will wish they had paid. Years from now, most people will remember this week for the hack, and a few will remember it as the week they moved early.
