In summer 2022 Bastiano Farran will volunteer as a product management mentor, and Jury Member at the Project Management Institute’s (PMI) Next Generation Leaders (NGL) Program. The program aims at training and developing a highly skilled next generation of product management leaders.
The PMI SF Bay Area Chapter is hosting a creative and experiential learning virtual event for participants to showcase their talents in Product Management and Project Management for a chance to win awards and will be judged by top-tier industry panelists.
The “Let’s Jam!” Event is a virtual challenge where participants may choose between two different real business requirements PMI has:
– “Data Analytics and Dashboard development”.
– “Product and Website development”.
Participants will have the chance to experience a 5-week sprint simulation working on the key components of the product development lifecycle to deliver a complete solution/proposal.
Participating product managers are required to collaborate and lead multi-functional teams with developers, engineers, product owners, SCRUM masters, and User experience (UX) skilled members; also teams will have access to coaching, career advice, and direct exposure to other leaders in the Product management field, and leaders from different industries.
The 5-week sprint will require an average contribution of about 3-4 hours a week per participant.
The “Let’s Jam!” Event will Kick-Off on June 11th, 2022 and will conclude with the Final solution/proposal presentation to a Panel of Judges on July 23rd, 2022 led by industry leaders and an Award Ceremony!
