A Four-Year Fashion Designing Degree with Semester-Wise Curriculum, Transparent Fee Structure, and 100% Placement Assistance  Now Accepting Applications for 2026

Noida, India — Students searching for a fashion designing course in Delhi NCR no longer have to choose between creative depth and professional outcomes. AAFT (Asian Academy of Film and Television), located at Marwah Studios Complex, Noida Film City, offers a four-year B.Des in Fashion Design with a graduate community that today works across some of the world’s most recognised fashion houses Prada, Gucci, Dior, H&M, Arvind Fashions, and Louis Vuitton among them. The programme gives students a studio education that spans Indian textiles, AI-powered design tools, and an in-house Global Fashion Week on campus. The 2026 batch is now open for admission.

With a 30-year legacy at Marwah Studios, AAFT’s School of Fashion Design is one of India’s most reputed creative arts institutions. This guide covers everything a prospective student needs to know course structure, curriculum, programme duration, fees, and the career opportunities that open up after graduation.

Fashion Designing Course Details: Duration, Structure, and Eligibility

The B.Des in Fashion Design is a full-time, four-year undergraduate fashion designing degree, delivered across eight progressive semesters on a five-days-a-week schedule at AAFT’s Noida campus. The fashion designing course duration of four years sets it apart from shorter diploma or certificate options, providing the depth required for design leadership roles in India’s rapidly expanding fashion industry. Candidates must have completed 10+2 from any recognised board with a minimum of 50% marks and must clear the AAFT Global Entrance Test (GET). Students from Arts, Commerce, and Science streams are equally eligible.

Fashion Designing Course Syllabus: What Students Learn Across Eight Semesters

The fashion designing course syllabus at AAFT is built around a 70:30 industry-centric model, meaning 70 percent of all learning maps directly to current professional practice. Students move from foundational work in the early semesters fashion illustration, drawing and sketching, material exploration, sewing fundamentals, and CAD basics  into progressively advanced territory as the programme develops.

By the middle semesters, the syllabus covers Indian Traditional Textiles, Surface Ornamentation, Pattern Making and Garment Construction across women’s, men’s, and Indian silhouettes, Draping, Fashion Forecasting, Visual Merchandising, and Apparel Merchandising. Semester 7 introduces Techno Fashion  covering wearable technology, smart textiles, and interface design  alongside Creative Pattern Making, Sustainable Design, Apparel Branding, and Costume Jewelry Design. The final semester is dedicated to Graduation Design Research and a full Graduation Design Collection, which anchors every student’s professional portfolio.

The course also features AAFT’s ‘Design Your Own Degree’ structure, allowing students to personalise their specialisation from Semester 3 onwards choosing from Photography and Fashion Communication, Retail Buying and Merchandising, Production Management, Lifestyle and Accessories Design, or Entrepreneurial Brand Building.

Fashion. Designed for the Intelligent Era.

From January 2026, AI tools are embedded across the full fashion designing course as a core studio skill. Students work with Midjourney and Leonardo for design iteration, ChatGPT and Gemini for collection storytelling, Perplexity for sustainable material research, Reach CAD and Future Snoops for digital pattern making and trend intelligence, and Supergrow and Quillbot for final portfolio presentation. This makes AAFT’s fashion designing degree one of the first undergraduate programmes in India to integrate AI across all eight semesters rather than treating it as an add-on.

Fashion Designing Course Fees: Transparent and Structured

Fashion designing course fees at AAFT are structured on a per-semester basis, making the investment manageable across the four-year duration. The fee for the B.Des in Fashion Design is approximately INR 1,00,000 per semester, with a one-time admission fee of INR 30,000 and a university enrolment fee of INR 2,200 payable at the time of joining. Payment is accepted via UPI, net banking, Bharat QR, and card. AAFT also facilitates education loans through partner banks for eligible students. The Career Resource Cell then translates this experience into placements: recent graduates include Yash Rewalia at Puneet Nidhi India, Sunidhi Chauhan at Pero by Aneeth Arora, and Siddhita Mishra at Arvind Fashions, with alumni across Prada, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Dior, H&M, Levi’s, and Marks and Spencer.
