How Simple Mining Built the Only Full-Stack U.S. Bitcoin Mining Operation

Simple Mining Built

The U.S. Bitcoin mining industry has spent the better part of a decade dependent on Chinese ASIC manufacturers and a fragmented service ecosystem. Buying a miner, deploying it, and keeping it running has typically meant coordinating across three or four different vendors. A new partnership between Simple Mining and Velaura AI is taking direct aim at that friction.

Cedar Falls, Iowa-based Simple Mining announced this week that it has become an authorized sales channel, dedicated hosting provider, and official in-warranty service center for Velaura AI’s Teraflux line of Bitcoin miners. The deal positions Simple Mining as the first U.S. operator to offer the full hardware lifecycle for Teraflux units under one roof.

The Operator

Simple Mining is one of the larger vertically integrated Bitcoin mining operators in the U.S. Midwest. The company operates 150+ MW of Bitcoin mining hosting capacity across 10 facilities, sells ASIC hardware directly, and runs one of North America’s largest in-house ASIC repair operations. Certified technicians staff its repair facility.

The combination of sales, hosting, and repair under one operator is rare in U.S. Bitcoin mining. Most operators do one of the three. Simple Mining does all three, and now the Velaura AI partnership extends that vertical integration to a new hardware platform.

The Hardware

The Teraflux AT2880 is the air-cooled flagship of Velaura AI’s U.S.-engineered Bitcoin mining lineup. Key specs:

  • 270 TH/s hashrate
  • 16 J/TH efficiency
  • U.S.-engineered ASIC silicon

Simple Mining will sell, host, and service the platform for U.S. miners looking to deploy non-Bitmain hardware without juggling separate vendors for purchase, hosting, and repair.

What’s in the Deal

The partnership has three pillars:

Sales: Customers can buy Velaura AI Teraflux miners directly through Simple Mining.

Hosting: Simple Mining will deploy Teraflux units at its Midwest hosting facilities, with turnkey deployment, 24/7 monitoring, and competitive hosting rates.

Service: Simple Mining’s Bitcoin miner repair operation is now an authorized in-warranty service center for Velaura AI hardware. Certified technicians will perform repairs under factory warranty standards.

Why It Matters

For Bitcoin miners, the partnership eliminates a real source of operational pain: coordinating across multiple vendors when a miner needs to be deployed, monitored, or repaired. One partner, one accountability chain.

“We’ve spent years building the operational infrastructure miners actually need,” said Nick Garland, Chief Operating Officer of Simple Mining. “Adding Velaura AI to our channel means our customers get best-in-class hardware backed by the hosting and repair capability they already trust us for.”

“Simple Mining’s track record in hosting and hardware service makes them the right launch partner for extending the reach of our Teraflux platform,” said JL Zoeckler, Director of Mining Solutions at Velaura AI. “We’re excited to deliver a seamless experience for U.S. Bitcoin miners.”

The broader signal: as U.S.-engineered Bitcoin mining hardware matures, the operators who can offer hardware, hosting, and repair under one roof are positioned to capture share from traditional reseller-only models.
