The work Adapted Business Continuity: A New Approach to Business Crises, focused on the strategic management of companies in crisis scenarios, was selected for exhibition at international fairs recognized for its curatorial rigor. After appearing at the Biennial of Portugal, the title was also presented to the Brazilian public at this year’s Book Biennial and is confirmed for the Frankfurt Book Fair — the largest publishing event on the planet.

A trajectory that crosses borders

Alex Almeida’s work as an accountant specializing in financial engineering is now part of public circulation spaces with curatorship and public exhibition of his works in spaces of international circulation. His book Adapted Business Continuity: A New Approach to Business Crises was exhibited at the 95th Lisbon Book Fair, in June 2025.

Recognized as one of the most relevant cultural initiatives in Europe, the Lisbon Book Fair stands out as an artistic and intellectual exhibition aimed at promoting works with public impact and technical relevance. The event is guided by curatorial criteria that privilege authors whose production stimulates critical thinking, cultural exchange and the advancement of professional practices.

In this context, the presence of Adapted Business Continuity reaffirms the international projection of Alex Almeida’s work in the debate on business continuity strategies in crisis scenarios.

A hybrid work with technical expressiveness and cultural relevance

Combining fundamentals of financial engineering and crisis management with accessible and visually structured narrative resources, Adapted Business Continuity stands out as a work of hybrid nature. By articulating technical content with applied language and graphic elements that favor broad understanding, the book reaches both specialized audiences and readers interested in practical strategies for times of instability. According to the Portuguese Association of Publishers and Booksellers (APEL), “the fair values works that promote the dissemination of technical knowledge with social and cultural relevance, encouraging dialogue between different areas of knowledge”.

Currently, the book Adapted Business Continuity is being exhibited at the 21st Rio de Janeiro Book Biennial, which takes place during this month of June, one of the most important cultural events in Brazil that brings together authors, artists and intellectuals to promote dialogue between literature, art and society. The Biennial is recognized for its curatorship that values works with cultural impact and creative expressiveness.

In addition, the work had its exhibition confirmed at the Frankfurt Book Fair, which will take place in October this year, the largest publishing fair in the world, recognized by international institutions of culture and literature. The editorial aesthetics and visual elements of the book were also important factors for its selection, reinforcing its value as a creative expression aimed at business transformation.

The book was also selected to be exhibited at the London Book Fair in March 2026 — one of the most influential publishing events in Europe and a global reference in the literary and editorial industry. Its inclusion in this curated space reinforces the international relevance and professional impact of the work, especially in the field of strategic corporate thinking.
