Dingtalk Launches AI Agent Marketplace

Alibaba Cloud on Friday announced that its workplace communication app, DingTalk, has upgraded its AI and launched a marketplace of 200 AI-powered agents specializing in productivity, industry-specific services, and enterprise-facing features.

The cloud computing company said that DingTalk AI assistants can now process images, videos, and up to 500 pages of text at a time, and that users can now turn to AI agents from third-party providers for help with different types of tasks.

Ye Jun, President of DingTalk, said that their goal is for DingTalk’s AI Agent store to emerge as a leading hub.

“We believe AI agents are poised to become the cornerstone of future applications. Our vision is for DingTalk’s AI Agent Store to emerge as a leading hub for the growth and exchange of AI agents,” said Ye.

DingTalk Upgrade Features

 The firm said that the upgrade made the communication app a powerful ally for Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) businesses and individual developers, who can create and share AI agents on the platform.

To guarantee a high quality of service  developers must apply for approval to list their creations on DingTalk, according to the report. 

Alibaba Cloud said that DingTalk enhanced its AI Assistant to be multimodal (which means that it can process information in a variety of formats), that DingTalk AI Assistant can process up to 500 pages of text at a time, and users can ask for summaries to make work and learning more efficient.

The firm went further to give the example that a “curious visitor to Hangzhou’s West Lake could upload a photo of one of the temples dotting its shore. The user would quickly receive a summary of the site’s history.”
