8 Best Business Credit Monitoring Companies

1. FairFigure

FairFigure is a top option for new business owners because it not only helps you monitor your business credit, but also build it with credit reporting support.

There are two plans offered by FairFigure: Basic and Premium.

  • Basic: The free business credit monitoring service helps you monitor your Creditsafe small business credit report and small business credit score. You won’t get this from any other business credit monitoring company.
  • Premium: FairFigure Premium only costs $35/month. You get the above, as well as your D&B and Equifax business credit score and business credit report.

If you go the Premium route, there are a few more perks. These include:

  • Access to additional FairFigure tools. These include their business credit correction tool with Unify, dark web monitoring with Signal, and your monthly AI credit and financial health podcast with Pulse.
  • Support building your business credit score and credit history with credit reporting. The FairFigure Premium subscription is reported to many business credit bureaus as a tradeline.

If you want additional credit-building support, you can always apply for the FairFigure Lift Card. You don’t have to get Premium to receive it and it will offer an additional tradeline without requiring a personal credit check or personal guarantee.

2. Experian

Every business credit reporting agency has its own credit monitoring services. If you’re looking to monitor Experian individually, you’ll want to sign up for Experian Business Credit Advantage.

Business Credit Advantage costs $199 per year. With this business credit monitoring company service, you get:

  • Non-stop monitoring with email alerts about any credit changes or inquiries related to your business.
  • Access to your Experian credit ranking score and online business credit report anytime, anywhere.
  • Automatic credit file tracking with three-month trend information.

Experian cites a wide range of benefits from using its business credit monitoring service, including:

  • Being able to stay on top of any changes that could be inaccurate and affect your business credit score, credit history, and business credit profile.
  • Developing a strategy based on current business credit strengths and weaknesses.
  • Preventing business identity theft and seeing who’s making inquiries about your business.

Experian offers a sample credit report on its website. This way, you can see exactly what you’re getting before you purchase Business Credit Advantage from this business credit monitoring company.

3. Equifax

Equifax offers business credit monitoring services that go beyond just its one-time report option.

A one-time report will only get you access to the Business Credit Report Plus 2.0 as well as access to Equifax business credit scores.

Equifax’s business credit monitoring service does feature a free option. Otherwise, it starts at $39.99 a month and offers the above with consistent access throughout the year.

It also offers:

  • Alerts to any change in your business credit reports or business credit scores. This keeps your credit history clean.
  • Access to bookkeeping tools that help you manage cash flow and balance sheet (this comes at an extra cost).
  • Access to business credit coaching, which also costs extra.

What’s important to note about these services is that they’re actually offered in partnership with other business credit monitoring companies.

For example, a one-time credit score or report order is offered through a partnership with eCredable. Meanwhile, the Equifax business credit monitoring services are offered in partnership with Nav (multiple credit bureaus rather than just Equifax).

You’ll be brought to these company pages when shopping for business credit services through Equifax.

4. Creditsafe

Creditsafe is a business credit bureau we’ve already touched on above. Whereas others mainly focus on just your business credit, Creditsafe helps you monitor your own credit and others as well.

The average small business owner is worried about more than just their business credit; they want to see where their competitors, customers, and suppliers stand.

Creditsafe helps you monitor them across 49 countries. They also help you create customized portfolios and alerts so that you’re not having to sift through a slew of reports to get the credit information you need to stay informed.

Creditsafe’s business credit monitoring services are also great for:

  • Proactively managing credit risk with real-time alerts.
  • Identifying growth opportunities in your business when they arise in your credit file.
  • Using the Creditsafe Connect API to update your CRM automatically.

Monitoring coverage is more restricted than report coverage, which is global. However, unless you’re doing business internationally, it shouldn’t be a major concern.

5. Dun & Bradstreet

Whether you’ve already established your business or you’re a new business owner, you have a DUNS Number. Dun & Bradstreet is a cornerstone business credit monitoring company that offers its own business credit monitoring services.

D&B Credit Insights gives you the support needed to monitor your growth. But what you receive depends on the plan you choose.

The Free plan is the most restrictive. You get risk range indicators for four scores and ratings, as well as basic company information. It helps you track your business credit at the most basic level.

The Basic plan costs $49.99 a month or $499 a year. This plan upgrades you to detailed information about six business credit scores and ratings, and detailed business information. You get unlimited access to your reports, dark web monitoring, and QuickBooks account connection.

The Plus plan costs $149 a month or $1,499 a year. This upgrade lands you the above plus score and rating tracking for up to five businesses and the ability to submit up to 12 regular term payments or financial statements to strengthen your payment history and credit profile.

The Premium plan costs $199 a month or $1,999 a year. This helps you unlock unlimited financial data submission to build your payment history and credit profile, credit notifications for vendors that you do business with, and business information reports on 10 other companies.

6. Nav

Whether you’re using Nav Prime through Equifax or on its own, you’ll find that it’s a comprehensive business credit monitoring company.

Bear in mind that there are some features still listed that are no longer available. You can’t get the Nav Credit Builder Card with your subscription, for example.

With Equifax, monitoring starts at $39.99 a month. However, Nav Prime does come with a Free plan. This offers basic ranges across these business credit bureaus: D&B, Experian, and Equifax.

You also receive a personal credit score from Experian and a look at your basic funding readiness.

Track is the basic paid plan, starting at $39.99 a month or $31.99 a month when you pay quarterly.

This next tier unlocks six credit scores and reports across D&B, Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion. It also provides you with comprehensive funding readiness and access to exclusive discounts with their partner lenders.

Build costs $49.99 a month or $39.99 a month when you pay quarterly. It has everything Track has, but it comes with added bookkeeping tools. This is where the Nav card would normally be offered, but it’s no longer a perk.

The top plan is Expand. This one costs $74.99 a month or $59.99 when you pay quarterly. This actually adds a Prime membership tradeline, 1-on-1 business credit coaching, and the FICO SBSS Score, a business credit score you can’t find anywhere else.

7. eCredable

eCredable is first and foremost a company for building business credit. However, they are, in a sense, a business credit monitoring company because they offer business credit score change monitoring with their service.

Basically, eCredable’s monthly subscription service is reported as a tradeline to D&B, Equifax, and Experian.

You can then build upon that by reporting eligible business credit cards to D&B, vendor payments to D&B to build trade credit, and utility payments to Equifax.

This helps you build your credit score across each major business credit bureau.

What you get depends on the plan you choose. The basic plan, eCredable Business Lift, is $19.95/month. You get the support mentioned above plus up to 24-month account payment history for reporting.

The premium plan, eCredable Business Lift+, is $39.95 a month and comes with:

  • Accounting software sync to tap into business insights.
  • 7 key financial ratios and metrics.
  • Loan readiness tracking to help you know when it’s time to apply for more funding.
  • Competitive benchmarking.
  • And insights to help you become more appealing to lenders.

8. CreditRiskMonitor

CreditRiskMonitor is a credit monitoring company designed for enterprise companies. It’s tailored to credit, finance, treasury, and risk professionals so that they can make data-driven credit and collection decisions.

They use continuous business credit monitoring and comprehensive risk intelligence methodologies to help businesses stay on top of customer credit health. This includes the use of AI and three proprietary credit risk models: the FRISK Score, PAYCE Score, and FAST Rating.

It’s different from the average credit report you’d receive when getting a credit report from the main business credit bureaus listed above.

Each tier adds a new credit score that you can view.

They have four different pricing tiers, which include:

  • The Trade Contributor Program: The Trade Contributor Program is completely free. It comes with the PAYCE Score and other risk analytics, coverage on submitted accounts, a dedicated trade specialist, and actionable insights.
  • Essentials: This plan starts at $8,450 per year. It adds the FRISK Score, public and private company coverage, a dedicated client success manager, customizable dashboards and reports, and unlimited platform access.
  • Comprehensive: Comprehensive starts at $11,450 per year. This plan adds FAST Ratings, worldwide business coverage, and optional add-on products.
  • Enterprise: The Enterprise plan is a bit more tailored, so there’s no set pricing. With this plan, you get API and DaaS Integrations, optional multi-year contracts, and integration technical support.

Monitoring business credit matters. Consider these eight best business credit monitoring companies to get the support your business demands.
