4 Birthday Gift Ideas to Give Your Employees

I think it’s very important to celebrate your employees in your company, and one of the best ways to do that is by celebrating their birthdays. As a rule, I think it’s important to do the same for all employees, so if you start a tradition of taking the team out for lunch, then continue that all year round. If you buy someone a gift, then keep up that tradition to ensure things feel even and fair. So whichever of these options you choose, bear in mind it’s probably best to keep it streamlined for the entire team. Here are my top 4 birthday gift ideas to give your employees.

1. A Company Lunch
I love going out for lunch for a team member’s birthday. I think it’s a really special way to celebrate them while also boosting company morale. As a general rule, in this situation the employer will foot the bill for any food and drinks purchased by not only the birthday person, but also any other team members who are invited to the lunch. This helps take the pressure off the other employees to celebrate the birthday person’s birthday, while also ensuring that the birthday day feels a bit special. A great way to make everyone feel loved and valued over the course of the day.

2. Some Expensive Wine
Wine is one of those universal gifts that almost everyone loves! I think it’s a wonderful gift as even if the receiver isn’t a huge fan of wine, they can keep it on hand to use when someone who loves it visits, which can be special in itself. When choosing wine there are so many options it can be somewhat overwhelming, especially if you don’t have a favorite bottle to share. Check out Twovintners.com for some great options that you can be confident in giving as a gift.

3. A Tech Gift
Technology always makes for a fabulous gift as I think it’s such a fun way to enrich someone’s life. Whether you choose for the company to pay for the gift, or if you ask the employees to pool together to contribute, there are plenty of fun tech related gifts you can buy for people. One of my favorite tech gifts to give is a drone. You can find drones in a wide range of price points, so you can find one to suit almost every budget. 4. An Experience
I’m a big fan of giving experiences as gifts. Whether it’s a day pass to the best spa in the area, or a voucher to go skydiving. Giving an experience is an extremely memorable gift and a fun way to push someone’s limits or to get them doing something new. A very fun experience, if the budget is there, is a Momentum Jets private jet rental experience. I’m sure no matter who your employee is, that this would be a gift of a lifetime!

Making someone’s birthday special is a great way to make them feel like a valued part of your team. Be sure to be consistent with whichever way you choose to celebrate their birthdays, ensuring that everyone feels equally important and valued.
