In the March 2020, artist/tattooist Pony Wave painted the mural “Stay Safe” in Venice Beach Art Walls. The image showed two masked people leaning in for a kiss. It immediately went viral and became a voice of strength to Covid- 19 Pandemic. Check the original post.

 

This art has become an inspirational symbol at the beginning of global pandemic and was often used in the media all over the world. It made a huge impact in a street art culture. Many artists represented “Stay Safe” on streets in their countries to keep it historical.

During the fall 2021, one of the biggest US embassies (Beijing, China) used a reproduction of the “Stay Safe” on the main wall of the embassy building, where an exhibition Art For The People dedicated to the global pandemic was placed.

People were excited to share photos and videos of the mural. And this is the only way to see it because original mural was covered by paint.

Canvas paintings of the mural were bought by collectors from Paris, Monaco, Japan, Brussels and more.

There are no more originals of “Stay Safe” left that were painted by Pony Wave.

All designs were personally drawn by artist Pony Wave. She had been working on it for several months.

This collection is dedicated to the time of the global pandemic. The iconic kissing scenes turned into “Stay Safe” art. As a reminder that art is a universal language that unites even when we feel divided.

Pony Wave is a world-famous tattoo artist who discovered herself in the tattoo industry working in a realistic style specified on details.

The Russian-born, vegan tattoo artist, street artist, and model, probably best known for her turn on the reality tattooing competition show “Ink Master,” moved to LA seven years ago to pursue her artistic dreams.
